Al Palillo
Ready to Serve New Haven and Hamden
Al Paolillo has spent his career listening to his neighbors and fighting for the issues that matter in their everyday lives. As he seeks to represent the entire 11th State Senate District, Al looks forward to bringing that same approach to both New Haven and Hamden.
Hamden residents have consistently made clear that they want leaders in Hartford who will stand up for working families, strengthen public education, make housing and health care more affordable, protect workers' rights, lower the burden of property taxes, address rising utility costs, and ensure everyone has a voice in our democracy.
Al knows those fights because he's been fighting them too.
In the State House, Al has helped deliver historic investments in public education and municipal aid, support teachers and paraeducators, fight for working people and organized labor, expand assistance for families and first responders, protect access to affordable health coverage, and support measures to make voting more accessible.
He also understands the enormous pressure that property taxes place on families in communities like New Haven and Hamden. Al believes Hartford must be a stronger partner to our municipalities—adequately funding public schools and local services so cities and towns aren't forced to continually ask homeowners and renters to shoulder more of the burden.
Most importantly, Al will approach Hamden the same way he has always approached New Haven: by listening first.
Looking Forward to Serving
